Happy Planksgiving!

The Holidays are here. While Saturday is technically Halloween I know a lot of people started Halloween activities weeks ago. Which theoretically means we’re already in them; the Holidays I mean.

Yikes.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- but did you know that surveys have found people gain an average of 7-10 pounds over the holiday season? Seven to Ten pounds! What? My little girl was less than seven pounds when she was born!

I’ve always given my clients two choices when it comes to the holidays:

  1. Maintain, don’t gain

  2. Continue working towards results

No matter how 2020 has gone for you so far, those choices are still valid. So take a moment right now and commit to one of those choices for this holiday season. The year isn’t over yet, so don’t give up! So what are you going to do? Maintain? Keep pushing for results?

Did you decide? Like really decide? Put it down in writing. Over the next two months I will (give myself permission to maintain, but not gain/give myself permission to continue working towards my results) Even if this year hasn’t gone the way you initially planned for your health and fitness, these last two months can make a difference.

Here’s the thing- there’s no magic wand that gets waved at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve. Yes, it’s a time when a lot of people reflect on how they want their year to go, but why wait when the choices you make now will impact the person you are on December 31st.

So… I made you a thing. November has always been Planksgiving month for my clients and students, and while we might not be able to plank together in person this year, that doesn’t have to stop us!

Why not do a virtual Planksgiving month?!?! (Come on, you know you’re excited)

You can download the Planksgiving challenge here, then jump on Instagram or on Facebook and use #planksgiving and #thefrickingoodlife for accountability and to join the fun!

No matter how this year has gone for you, I BELIEVE IN YOU! You absolutely can be successful over the next two months, whether it’s maintaining throughout the year OR working towards your goals.

You’ve got this!
