Life Change
/Over this past year, my life has changed. A lot. Like… a lot, a lot.
And to be completely honest, I was having a hard time trying to figure out how this blog fit into this new life that had snuck up on and seduced me. I mean, here I was, the fit “gypsy”… with an APARTMENT! No longer was I living my life day to day out of a suitcase. No longer were 90% of my meals created out of ingredients that could be kept in a mini-fridge, cooked in a hotel microwave, and carried from hotel to hotel in a purse-sized cooler. No longer did I have to wear the same 3 pairs of shoes! (Come on guys, that’s a BIG deal!)
And I loved this new life.
But I was also confused. I mean, who was I? Did I “brand” myself wrong? Was anyone going to take me, the Fitgypsy, seriously anymore now that I lived in a stable location?
And then I went to Europe for 2 weeks in March…
And Lake Michigan, Las Vegas, and North Carolina over the summer…
And to a three-day conference in Dallas in November…
Then back to Europe for 2.5 weeks in December...
And I found that people were still constantly asking for my thoughts and tips to make their travels a success.
Oh. <insert one of those obnoxious cartoons where someone gets hit over the head by the obvious here>
Okay, so maybe this gypsy’s caravan has rooted itself. But that doesn’t mean the knowledge I gathered from 8 years of traveling went away overnight!
Need to figure out how to travel on the cheap? I’m your girl!
Want to eat healthy and/or workout on the road? I can do that too!
Trying to figure out the best way to travel? Planes, trains, and automobiles… I’ve got you covered!
So yes, my perspective has changed a little bit, but then again, we’re all constantly changing. I mean, if we weren’t- what fun would that be?
So here’s to a new year, new perspectives, and new beginnings. The Fitgypsy is back, and it's a FRICKin Good Life!
